JEREZ, Spain, FEB 4: Two-time defending Formula One champion Mika Hakkinen knows what he’s after when the 2000 auto racing season opens on March 12 in Melbourne.

“Naturally, I am looking forward to the new season,” he said. “And having won two World Championships, it is my ambition to fight for a third.”

Hakkinen and teammate David Coulthard kicked off the new season on Thursday as McLaren unveiled its car for 2000 at this track deep in southern Spain.
