After being forced into silence by Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and his deputy L.K. Advani in Delhi, the state BJP leaders found their voice against the ‘‘misrule’’ of Mayawati again at Haidergarh today.

The constituency is going to polls on February 26 and all state BJP leaders, including Union Minister Santosh Gangwar, were present to wind up the election campaign here.

‘‘The politics of caste (read BSP) and community (read SP) can’t be justified. All that is happening is being observed by the BJP leadership and justice will be done,’’ said general secretary Rajnath Singh.

‘‘Raghuraj Pratap Singh aur unke pita par POTA jab bhi hatega, uska karan BJP hogi (The BJP will be behind the decision to revoke POTA against Raja Bhaiyya and his father),’’ asserted BJP state party chief Vinay Katiyar. The raking up of the issue was a necessity for him since the SP has put the BJP in the dock on the topic to win over the Thakurs.
