CHANDIGARH, April 22: The fifth edition of the Gymnastic Federation Cup will be held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi from April 26 to 28.

P S Virk, general secretary of the Gymnsatic Federation of India said here today that in the men’s group, team from Delhi, Indian Railways, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Services and Uttar Pradesh will take part. Manas Pai and Sandeep Jana from West Bengal will compete as individuals.

In the women’s section, gymnasts from Delhi, Indian Railways, Maharashtra, Punjab and West Bengal will compete.

Virk announced that cash awards would be given to the winning teams, individual all-round and apparatus championships. The Indian team for participation in the first Central South Asian Gymnastics Championship to be held at Patiala in Delhi will be selected during the Federation Cup.

Youth Cash Cup
The third Youth Cash Cup cricket tournament will he held from May 9 at the Indus Valley Club ground, Dera Bassi. The winners will get Rs. 5,100 while the runners-up will be richer by Rs. 2,100.

The matches will be of 25 overs each in this 16-team draw.

Entries close with Prem Pal Singh, Hotel Evergreen, Dera Bassi (Phones 70005, 70505) on May 3.
