AHMEDABAD, April 21: The Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee is coming out with its own fortnightly journal in a couple of months `to fill in the communication gap’ between its workers spread over different parts of the State. Top PCC leaders met in Ahmedabad on Tuesday to discuss the modalities of starting the new publication which is likely to be edited by PCC spokesman Hasmukh Patel. "Our endeavour will be to present the magazine in such a way that one felt like reading it like any other publication and not like a party mouth-piece," Patel said.

CII meeting: Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Labour and Employment, Ashok Bhatt has welcomed the idea of making the existing workforce in industry competitive and adaptable to the changing needs of the industry. He came out in support of the idea while addressing a meeting on Vocational Qualifications organised by Confederation of Indian Industry on Tuesday.

Time given: The Ahmedabd Municipal Corporation (AMC) has given more time to the cinema halls in the city to change the drainage lines as well as paint the walls of the halls. Earlier the corporation has issued notices to some 23 cinema halls for not complying with the hygienic norms. Municipal commissioner B K Sinha informed that after notice the basic hygienic norms were adhered to but the hall managements demanded more time to change the drainage lines and also paint the walls.

Information: The Chief Minister has urged the public to provide information regarding food and adulteration act through telephones. In a official statement, the Chief Minister said that the information should be provided on telephone number 33962 and 33980. He said the information provided by the informer would be recorded and be kept secret.
