“A police clearance is awaited for conducting the post-mortem of the bodies…we do not know the political reason, if any…these are identified bodies,” Medical Superintendent Dr Narpat Singh Shekhawat said in Jaipur.

He said the bodies could only be handed over to the relatives, who are standing outside the mortuary for the last six days, after post-mortem.

The relatives, however, are leaving no stone unturned to get the bodies of their relatives killed during clashes with police.

“Humein nahin pata voh kya chahatein hain…dono (sarkar aur Bainsla) rajniti kar rahein hain arakshan ke nam par (we do not know what they want…both the government and Bainsla are doing politics on quota issue),” said Hari Singh, who has spent last six days outside the mortuary to get his brother’s dead body.
