Grenade explosion rocks Jharia college

A college staff was injured when a hand grenade exploded in the campus of RSP college at Jharia.

A college staff was injured when a hand grenade exploded in the campus of RSP college at Jharia, near here, on Wednesday.

Police inspector of Jharia circle Abdhesh Kumar Singh said that the grenade was kept on the roof of the girl’s section of the college building.

It exploded when the cleaner, Manoj Kumar, was sweeping the portion. Kumar got splinter injury on his leg and was admitted to a nursing home.

The college falls in underground mines fire zone and BCCL and district administaration have asked the authorities to shift it to a safe place.
