NEW DELHI, Nov 21: The government has decided to put all circulars and other important material relating to pensioners on the Internet.
Announcing this, Union Minister of State for Personnel and Pensions K M R Janarthanan said it had also been decided by the Union Cabinet to step up pension by 50 per cent and family pension by 30 per cent, if they failed short of the minimum revised pay.

It was more or less in the final stages of compilation and expected to be issued by the end of the year to all Central Government departments and the Associations of Pensioners, he added.Calling upon voluntary agencies to play a greater role in settling pension cases, the minister said pension adalats should be held regularly in the country.
He also expressed concern over the delay in finalising revision of pension cases and said the government had written two letters to all the departments to monitor the settlement of the cases and expedite their finalisation.
