MUMBAI, MARCH 25: This Saturday, Express Newsline promises to give Mumbai’s foodies a night they and their palates will not forget for a long time. The Express‘ Gourmet Page will cook up a storm by organising a Great Culinary Journey, where a chosen few gourmets and celebs like architect Karan Grover, ad-man Prahlad Kakkar and Sheldon Austin of the USIS have solemnly promised to paint the town red. In fact, Kakkar and Grover have even helped in planning the event.
Party Time starts from 7 pm at Hotel Ambassador’s hip new coffee shop Flavors, where guests will wet their tastebuds with appetisers and cocktails. Then, the discerning foodies will be taken to Hotel Shalimar, Kemps Corner, by a motorcade of vintage cars and an open-top bus. A lavish sit-down dinner, complete with Continental and Indian cuisine and desserts, awaits the guests at Wharton Room, Hotel Guestline, Juhu. Live music and vintage wine are the icing on the cake. An enthralling culinary display, based on the theme `50Years of Freedom’ will find foodies whipping up a storm. And at the end of it all, Tarla Dalal will give away signed copies of her latest book on Thai cuisine.
