MUMBAI, APR 5: Corporate major Godrej Soaps today announced an organisational restructuring programme by separating its soaps division from its chemical division and dismantling the original plan of setting up an independent product supply organisation.

The two businesses, consumer and chemical, would each be headed individually by a president. The consumer products division, to be headed by Hoshedar K Press, would handle manufacturing, marketing, sales and exports of various soaps and toiletry brands of Godrej Soaps.

While the chemicals division, headed by Mathew Eipe, would be responsible for the manufacturing, marketing, sales and exports of chemical products such as fatty acids, fatty alcohols, AOS and glycerine.

The Managing Director of Godrej Soaps, Adi godrej said that the restructuring has been implemented with a view to streamline the organisational structure and enhance business performance. “The synergies resulting from this change would help us in improving profits as well as the marketshares of our brands,” he said.
