DEC 25: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today blamed the Congress for years of political instability in his state.Congress was responsible for splits in the regional parties in Goa and the successive years of political instability arising out of it, Parrikar alleged while participating in a `Meet-the-Press' programme organised by Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh here.He said the BJP staked its claim to form the government only after it was assured of support by a breakaway Congress group of 10 MLAs. The BJP led government in Goa will complete its tenure, he expressed.He justified his party's decision to topple the Sardinha Government saying that Goa BJP was irked at the way the latter was emptying the state's coffers.The BJP-led government is trying to bring economy back on rails, improve the law and order situation and boost the morale of the bureaucracy, he said.Parrikar will be meeting Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Tuesday to discuss the Kirari irrigation project proposed to be jointly taken up by both the states.Parrikar today met Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal and public works minister Vikramsinh Patankar and discussed several issues with them.
