A 20-year-old married girl allegedly killed her father as he wanted to marry her, police said.

A 20-year-old married girl allegedly killed her father as he wanted to marry her, police said.

On April 6, after reaching his daughter’s house in Petlad town in Anand district, the father started abusing her and said he wanted to marry her, police sources said.

The girl in a fit of anger hit her father on the head with a shovel, injuring him seriously. He was taken to Nadiad Civil Hospital where he succumbed to injuries on Wednesday, police said.

A case has been registered and further investigation is on, police added.
