MUMBAI, DEC 4: Ghatkopar YMCA and Agradneya Vyayamshala respectively retained the junior boys and mini girls titles in the XII Bombay YMCA open basketball tournament today.In a repeat of last year's clashes, Ghatkopar defeated Mastan YMCA 54-50, while Agradneya drubbed Indian Gymkhana 40-14.The mini boys final, scrapped last year after an age crisis, was won by Wellingdon YMCA, 66-54 winners over the hosts.Injuries continued to haunt thee tournament. In a violent match last night, with opponents Mumbai Police the culprit of intentional fouls, Javed Shaikh of Somaiya Sports Club twisted his ankle, and he will be out of action for twenty days.
