MUMBAI, DEC 5: Dr S Ganguli, executive vice chairman of ACC, the country’s largest cement firm, has finally decided to call it a day with the company. Ganguli, however, has decided to continue as an advisor to ACC.

Ganguli is likely to join Haldia Petrochem, a joint venture project of the West Bengal government, the Chatterjee group and the Tatas.

The five-year contract of Ganguli is coming to an end in January 1998. Earlier, Nani Palkhivala, currently chairman Emeritus of ACC, had quit the company as the chairman.

In his first interaction with the media, the new chairman of ACC, Pallonji Mistry had evinced his keen desire that Ganguli should continue in the company.
