NEW DELHI, November 30: A galaxy of former India cricketers (including Kapil Dev, Abbas Ali Baig, Bishan Bedi, Chetan Chauhan, Madan Lal, Surender Khanna, Atul Wassan, Maninder Singh), administrators and political leaders (Madhav Rao Scindia, Salman Khurshid, Randhir Singh, Aslam Khan, Sunil Dev) are expected to play in a festival cricket match, to bid farewell to Doon School’s (Dehra Dun) longest serving teacher, Sheel Vohra, at Roshanara grounds here on Tuesday.

Michael Dalvi, who was a student of the Doon School in early 1960s, will lead the Doon School XI which will include cine star Chanderchud Singh (of `Maachis’ fame) while Kapil will lead the Rest XI.

Sheel Mehra joined the Doon School as a mathematics teacher in 1959 and rose through the ranks to become the Head Master. As wicketkeeper-batsman, he had represented Uttar Pradesh in Ranji Trophy.
