PATIALA, Oct 12: A brilliant knock of 76 by Gaganinder Garry helped Patiala pile up 194 runs before being bowled out in 76 overs by Chandigarh on the opening day of the Punjab Inter-District Cricket Tournament under-19 for Dhruve Pandove Trophy at Dhruve Pandove Cricket Stadium here today. Sanjay Dhull was the wrecker-in-chief of Patiala innings. He claimed four wickets for 47 runs.

At close of play, Chandigarh were 69 for 3 in 18 overs. Vikram sodhi was batting at 14.

Kabaddi trials today
Trials to select Chandigarh kabaddi team (boys and girls) will be held on October 13 at Sector Sports Complex at 4 p.m. According to a press release, both the teams will take part in the nationals to be held at Amravati in November.
