VADODARA, April 29: The District Administration will organise a variety of musical and religious programmes in Chhotaudepur and Sankheda to mark the State Foundation Day on May 1.
An official release said here on Monday that the function, to be jointly held by the District Collectorate, Chhotaudepur municipality and Sankheda panchayat will feature distinguished bhajan singers and the poet and journalist Durgesh Upadhyaya.
The evening’s recital will include recitals by folk poets, folk and religious singers, the release said, adding that functions would take place at Jhanda chowk, Chhotaudepur and the main bazaar, Sankheda samultaniously.
At Sankheda, the main attraction will be recitals by Safar Palanpuri. A galaxy of prominent persons including local political leaders are expected to attend the functions, the release added.
