Fourty appear for sport gradation

Most of the players, who were present today, for gradation were also keen to get admission into professional colleges. Since most of the professional institutes have sports quota seats, the players who get gradations certificates can avail the facilities. “I am planning to take entrance exam for the engineering college,” said one for the players, who had recently participated in the national meet.

However, the gradation policy of the sports department has not changed for the past some years and the players are not getting the maximum benefit.

However, the department is thinking on the line of making certain changes in the policy in the near future to facilitate the players. “Certain issues are likely to be changed in the policy. It have been brought to the notice of the higher authorities,” disclosed one of the officials of the department.

The next gradation of certificates will be held in June.
