NEW DELHI, January 21: Fort William/ASC emerged winners beating Cavaliers/RVC by 5 goals to 2 1/2 in the finals of Ratanada Cup.Cavaliers grabbed the lead and were leading at 2 1/2 goals in comparison to Fort William's 2. But the winners came from behind and with their combined efforts managed to score three goals in a row to emerge winners.Tarsem Singh pumped in three goals while Ramesh Kumar and Shakti Singh Rathore scored one goal each for the winners. Atul Gupta and B.S. Lakra scored one goal each for Cavaliers/RVC who started with 1/2 goal on handicap.In another match, Jindal Steel and Power emerged winners beating Oberoi Blues by 4 goals to 3 in the finals of Sawai Man Singh Gold Vase (8 goals) tournament. It was a closely and hard fought encounter. Both the teams were well balanced and displayed superb stick work.Lokendra Singh opened the account for Jindal Steel in the first chukker which was equalised by Dhruvpal Gadra through a 40-yard penalty in the same chukker. Both teams fought hard to overpower each other and thus failed to score in the second chukker. Samir Singh converted a 60-yard penalty to take the lead of Jindal Steel but Dhruvpal equalised the score by converting a 40 yard penalty. The score was locked at 2-2 at the end of third chukker. In the last chukker, Oberoi Blues took the lead through a 60-yard penalty converted by Dhruvpal Godara but once again it was equalised by Lokendra Singh. At the end of fourth chukker the score was levelled at 3-3.In the sudden death widened goals both teams fought hard. With seven seconds left to bugle, Jindal Steel earned a penalty and Samir Suhag scored the winning goal.
