The Forest Department will initiate legal action against the Kerala State Electricity Board for its alleged laxity which caused the electrocution of four wild elephants in Thannithode forest station limits under Ranni forest division on Wednesday.

Chief Conservator of Forests (South) R. Rajaja Varma said it is mandatory for the KSEB to clear the undergrowth below the live line every year.

United States President Donald Trump Friday announced a new round of punishing tariffs, saying the US will impose 100% duties on imported branded drugs, 25% tariffs on heavy-duty trucks, and 50% tariffs on kitchen cabinets starting October 1.
