Bird flu might have reached Bangladesh, putting West Bengal under pressure, sources at the Centre’s Medical Research Institute said here. ‘‘We are not pressing the panic button, but saying ‘so far it’s not detected in India’ will not give us any escape route in case of an outbreak or doesn’t stand as guarantee it will not happen,’’ Deputy Director of the Virology Department of School of Tropical Medicine D.K. Neogi said.
