In the middle of the flood scam noose tightening around RJD MP Sadhu Yadav, Vigilance Department SP and investigating officer (IO) Ashok Kumar Singh complained that he received a threat phone call yesterday.

‘‘Yesterday, I got a call at my residence number threatening me not to go too far in the flood scam. The caller also said that the present regime will not remain forever and that I will be taught a bitter lesson,’’ Singh said.

Though he refused to take any name, he indirectly hinted towards RJD MP Sadhu Yadav whose anticipatory bail was recently cancelled by the Patna High Court.

‘‘It could be any of the accused in the case whose bail pleas have been cancelled recently,’’ he said. Apart from Yadav, the bail petition of scam kingpin Santosh Jha’s father has also been turned down by the court. The Vigilance SP said he could not identify the number as the caller ID in his phone was defective and the BSNL was yet to provide the number. He said that action would be initiated as soon as he gets the number. The SP also said that he has received similar calls twice in the past.
