First food processing park at Butibori soon

The meeting at VIA reviewed the progress made by various agencies on the action plan discussed during the last meeting. Deshmukh also visited the sites identified for the agro park. Major decisions taken during the meet included documentation of technologies ready for commercialisation in Vidarbha by the PKV vice-chancellor before March-end.

Alternative cropping patterns, agri business including aromatic and medicinal plants will be finalised by the PKV before June next. The CFTRI will produce a document for Vidarbha region for adoption of agro produce within the next three months.

It was decided to connect all taluka-level officials by an agricultural network before March next.
