MUMBAI, Aug 18: Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers during the last two weeks with a net negative investment of US $ 56 million.

After being net sellers through April, May, June and the first two weeks of July ,FIIs invested up to $ 42.9 million in equity markets during July 11 to 24. SEBI said, gross purchases during the last fortnight amounted to Rs 372 crore as against sales of Rs 611.2 crore. Cumulative net investment by FIIs in the domestic capital markets registered $ 8,806.6 million.
