RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin was today booked along with 10 others in the latest controversy in which he was charged with taking a law examination while being an absconder.
The FIR was lodged at a Muzaffarpur police station against Shahabuddin, principal of local RDS College Tauheed Ahmad, Controller of Examination of the B R Ambedkar University,
Upendra Mishra, and eight others.
According to police investigations, someone else wrote the exam for him, by forging documents. Tirhut range DIG Gupteshwar Pandey said it was a case of impersonation and that the MP was not present for the examination.
The DIG said the FIR was lodged after the officials concerned of the college and the university were questioned.
Siwan MP Shahabuddin is evading arrest in a couple of cases. The state police have sounded a countrywide red alert notice for his arrest.
