CHENNAI, June 19: A preliminary report on efforts to save the dwindling expanse of the Adyar creek stretching between MRC nagar and the nearby Ayyappan temple, here, is being done by the Exnora Naturalists’ Club (ENC). It is evident that the increasing encroachments along the creek and vegetation has affected the natural flow of sea water in the area, and an increasing accumulation of silt has been noted here over a period of time. Recently, the Exnora Naturalist’s club organised an Environmental Youth Service programme to train the youth on several environmental issues.
