Largescale Naxalite violence, malfunctioning of EVMs and group clashes among political parties during the first phase of polling on February 3, has led the Election Commission to order repolling in 347 polling stations in Bihar, 76 polling stations in Jharkhand and six in Haryana.
Of these, repolling in 347 polling stations in Bihar and 21 in Jharkhand will take place tomorrow. Rest of the repolling in Jharkhand (in 55 booths) will taking place on February 7 and in Haryana on February 23.
Repoll in Bihar would be held in polling stations spread over eight districts of Buxor, Rohtas, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui and Arwal, EC sources said today. Chances are that the Election Commission might decide to order some more repolling in Bihar which would take place on February 7.
