MUMBAI, April 5: Catholic Gymkhana recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory over Larsen & Toubro in their concluding encounter of the Bombay Hockey Association Second Division second-leg at the Mahindra Stadium, today.

With this victory, Catholic Gymkhana aggregated 13 points. The goal scorers were Rubelin Miranda (48th minute), Saby Miranda (62nd minute) and Ryan Alponso (64 minute).

In the Fourth Division play-off semi-final, Sachivalaya Gymkhana trounced Coast Guard, Daman, 4-0, to enter the final after leading 1-0 at the interval. A brace each by Anu Wadgaonkar (3rd and 33rd minutes) and A B Kelkar (49th and 58th minutes) were the highlight of the game.

In the Third Division play-off semi-final, Village Amboli fashioned out a narrow 4-3 victory over Hindustan Organic Chemicals, Rasayani, to enter the final. Village Amboli led 3-2 at the breather.

The initial lead was taken by HOC through a field goal by M Gale in the sixth minute. But five minutes later, Rubelin D’Souza equalised. In the 47th minuteAmboli’s Joshua Lacrion sealed HOC’s fate with what turned out to be the match-winner. Earlier he had found the boards in the 13th minute. The other scorer for the winners was Dennis Saldanha. A Mhatre and M Rawale were the other scorers for HOC.
