On a chilly Sunday morning here all roads led to the historic FRIMA course that hosted the Express Power Golf Tournament. Organised by the state government and Uttaranchal Tourism along with The Indian Express, the tournament saw over 60 participants.

The first to tee off were the chief guest of the tournament Lt. Gen. TP Rawat (Tourism Minister); Lt. Gen KK Khanna (Commandant, IMA); Dr. Sanjeev Chopra (Secretary, Industry, Uttaranchal) and NP Singh (Director, The Indian Express Group).

Talking about the aim of this tournament Lt Gen Rawat said, ‘‘The purpose of the tournament was to mobilise plans to build at least one international standard course in part of the country which attracts a number of foreign tourists.’’
