Wellingdon YMCA and Mischief Makers, Pune won the mini boys and girls titles respectively in the third Fr Agnel Open basketball tournament at Fr Agnel Complex, Vashi.

While Wellingdon accounted for Ghatkopar YMCA 48-40 in the final, Mischief outplayed Agradneya 52-30.

Manchanda wins
A Manchanda (St Xavier’s) beat Saket Wali (NM Commerce) 9-1, 9-0, 9-3 in the final of the Inter-Collegiate squash tournament at the CCI court on Tuesday.In the tussle for the third place, Vijay Jangra (RKT) beat Kapil Todwala (Somaiya Arts) 9-5, 9-6, 3-9,9-2.

In the team championship final, St Xavier’s beat MMK College, Bandra, 9-0, 9-2, 9-4. Govt. Law beat RKT 9-2, 9-4, 5-9, 9-2 for the third spot.

Dayanand nets winner
A Lone goal by Dayanand Shetty turned out to be the match-winner for Dadar XI A against St Jude in the WIFA Div. II football league tie at the Cooperage.

Sudhir Kumar shines
Five goals, including a hat-trick, by Sudhir Kumar enabled Kanara Brothers trounce Nidyadaini Sports Club 8-0 in the fifth Karnataka football league at the Karnatak Sports Centre.

Anand Rocha, Rosewalt Mathias and Manoj Puthran were the other goal-getters. The Jai Bharat-Satya Vijaya match, in Group B, ended goalless.

Salvi adjudged best
Sandesh Salvi of Kanvinde Vyayam Mandir (Dombivli) was adjudged Mavli Mandal Sri in the Thane District Amateur Bodybuilding contest held under theauspices of the Sri Mavli Mandal, Thane.
