A Supreme Court bench, hearing the PIL relating to corruption charges levelled by NHAI engineer Satyendra Dubey who had been working on a Bihar stretch of the Golden Quadrilateral before his murder, today referred the matter to another bench.

Filed by NGO Parivartan, the PIL was listed for hearing before a bench of Justice Ruma Pal and Justice P K Balasubramanian. However, Justice Pal, who went through the status report filed by the CBI, said the matter would be listed before another bench shortly. The bench did not give any reason for it.

Justice Pal had earlier heard another PIL relating to the Satyendra Dubey murder case, in the course of which the court had also directed the government to come up with a law to protect whistleblowers.
