The 14th DCM Shriram Open national tennis championship will be held here from October 17.

The qualifiying matches for the tournament with a total prize money of Rs. 7.2 lakh will begin from October 13.

The championship, organised under the aegis of All India Tennis Association, will be played in the men’s, women’s, boys and girls in the under-18, under-16 and under-14 categories. About 1,500 players comprising some of the best and emerging tennis talent in the country are expected to participate.
