Two students of Delhi Public School (DPS) were arrested for allegedly sending threat mail to the school, police said on Sunday.

The boys are studying in class IX and X, police said, adding the students have admitted that they sent the terror mail to the school in the name of Indian Mujahideen.

They sent the fake mail to terrorise the school as one of the teachers had severly reproached the class XI student following which he harboured a grudge and decided to teach a lesson with the help of his class X friend, the duo told police.

They created a mail account by using a fake address and introduced themselves in the online form as “Mr Mujahideen”, police said.

They had given their address in the portal as resident of US Ohio state’s Cincinnati city, police said. The terror mail, sent on October 4, created panic in the school with police and bomb disposal squad searching the whole premises. However, nothing suspicious was found in the school premises.

The identities of both the students were not disclosed and they were later released on bail, police added.
