S. A. S. NAGAR, April 21: The district consumer forum members of the township staged a dharna outside the Municipal Council office here today. They are protesting against the authorities for not listening to their problems.

According to Nagar Singh Tur, president of the forum, they submitted a memorandum to MC on February 21 but till date the council has not taken any note of it. He complained that the roads of the township were in a bad shape, stray cattle could cause accidents and there is no provision to lift the garbage.

According to MC president Harinder Pal Singh, all roads in the township are up to the mark. "I have forwarded the demands to the Enforcement Officer but he was unable to attend to them as he was busy for a month in Anandpur celebrations," he said.

Scooter stolen
Sector 21 resident, Raja Ram, reported to the police that his scooter CHC-4419 has been stolen from the parking of Municipal Corporation. A case has been registered.
