LUDHIANA, June 17: The Punjab Health Department Subordinate Offices Clerical Association has expressed strong resentment against the discriminatory attitude of the state government, particularly the downgrading of ministerial staff and the employees have decided to start an agitation to press their demands.

State president of the association Sukhwinder Singh said a meeting of the Punjab State Ministerial Services Union held here under the presidentship of Raj Kumar Arora lambasted the state government for persistently pursuing anti-employees policies.

The Union, according to Singh, decided to hold protest demonstration at all the district headquarters on June 24 and submit memoranda to deputy commissioners. In the second phase, the employees will observe a protest fortnight from July 1 to July 15 by wearing black badges and if the government failed to respond, it would be followed by a two-day pen down strike on July 14 and 15.
