Dilip Kumar is fine, assures Saira Banu

The health of Dilip Kumar, who had to be hospitalised in New Delhi recently, is fine, said wife Saira Bano.

The health of legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who had to be hospitalised in New Delhi recently, is fine and the thespian has returned to Mumbai.

His wife and former actress Saira Banu said they missed spending time with well-wishers and friends on Eid. They returned to Mumbai on October 3.

“For years now it has been our good fortune to receive our friends in our home and exchange warm greetings on occasions like Eid, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, Sahab’s birthday and our wedding anniversary,” she said.

This year, our wedding anniversary on October 11 and Sahab’s birthday on December 11 will be a little more special than usual, Saira Banu said.

Dilip Sahab is well now and recouping steadily. He received wonderful treatment and loads of affection and personal attention from the brilliant physicians and caring nursing staff of Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, she said.

It was a high grade fever that came up with a urinary tract infection (UTI in medial parlance) that made the hospitalization necessary for investigations and monitoring, Saira Banu added.

Nizamuddin went to the US in December 2015 for a Master’s course in Computer Science, which he completed from Florida Institute of Technology in 2017. He completed his B.Tech in ECE from Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering, Mahbubnagar.
