Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh on Thursday appealed to party workers to work unitedly for the party’s nominees for the November 27 assembly elections and ensure the BJP government’s defeat.

“All of us know that not everyone can be made a nominee,” Singh said in a statement adding that for the party each worker was important.

He said that those who did not get tickets may be pained but this was the time for “us to forget all our differences and work for the formation of the Congress government in the state.”

Singh said Congress workers should work unitedly for the party with dedication and full strength.
