SEPT 28: Three diamond merchants and a travel agent were arrested after officers of the Economic Offences Cell of Mumbai the police raided the premises of Dhanera Traders, on Wednesday evening.The three diamond merchant were arrested when they tried to cheat Chetan Shah to the tune of Rs 1.75. The trio have been identified as Rajmal Shah, Bharat Shah and Kerul Shah.They have been remanded to the police custody till October 11. Pravin and Shrenik, who are partners in Dhanera Traders are absconding.In an another case Krishnan Kutty Ishwaranan Kurup has been arrested in connection with duping job aspirants by giving them false assurance of overseas employment. Large number of documents and other incriminating documents have been recovered from the office premises at Colaba, the police informed.
