Cricket fans wait for long to catch a glimpse of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and wait even longer for his autograph, but now it is the other way round.

The poster boy of cricket waited for an hour on Thursday at the income tax office seeking to sort out some tax-related matters though he is the highest individual tax payer in Jharkhand.

“The officials were busy at a meeting,” Dhoni replied when his reaction was sought over the wait on Thursday.

Dhoni, who also visited the income tax office on Friday, did not speak to the media and had to rush to attend his felicitation programme at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday.

The IT department expects around Rs 4 crore from the dashing cricketer, who has already paid Rs 73 lakh upto September as advance tax, according to sources in the income tax office.
