The controversy over the Rajdhani accident continued today with the Eastern Railways denying the state government’s claims that the bridge over river Dhawa in Rafiganj was in need of any sort of repair.

Eastern Railways General Manager Sunil Sengupta today reiterated that the bridge was sound and that the derailment took place before the bridge.

He said that the point of drop was 40 meters before the bridge.
