Janata Dal (S) President H D Deve Gowda on Friday expressed “shock and outrage” at the loss of precious lives and injuries caused by the serial bomb blasts in Bengaluru.

In a statement, the former Prime Minister asked the Centre and the state government “to sink their party differences and unitedly combat the scourge of terrorism, which has become a threat to our very survival as a nation”.

Gowda also appealed to all political parties not to make any communally provocative statement and thereby foil the nefarious designs of the anti-national forces.

Liquor baron and Rajya Sabha member Vijay Mallya condemned the “cowardly and despicable action designed to disrupt the peace and harmony that Bangalore is known for”.
