SURAT, July 29: The Mahidharpura police has released a detailed description of four assailants, who shot dead flour merchant Arvindbhai Chokshi on Monday morning. The descriptions are based on details provided by eye witnesses.
According to the police, the first assailant, about 28, was approximately five feet and 10 inches tall and dark complexioned. He has gaps between his teeth, big eyes, long hair and wore a moustache. He is said to be speaking a mixture of Hindi and Urdu.
The second person, according to the police, was about 30, thin with curly hair and stained teeth. He was riding a Yamaha motorcycle, which did not bear any registration number. The person spoke Hindi, the police said.
While the third assailant, about 30, was 5 feet 5 inches tall with a dark complexion, the fourth, also about 30, had a wheatish complexion, short hair and spoke both Hindi and Gujarati.
The Mahidharpura police told Express Newsline that the descriptions indicated that the four hailed from Hindi-speaking states. Releasing the descriptions, the police has appealed the general public to assist the police in nabbing the four. It has also asked anyone having information about any of the four to contact the Mahidharpoura station or the police control room.
The police said computer-created images of the four have also been assembled, adding it was also investigating whether the four were involved in any of the pending cases with the city police.
