Dengue cases reported in Bangalore

Two children afflicted by dengue fever have been admitted to a private hospital in the city and more suspected cases were being reported from several areas.

Sources in M S Ramaiah Hospital, where Ujwal and Devika were undergoing treatment in ICU unit, said the two were progressing.

Sources said in July, six patients with dengue fever were admitted to the hospital and during this month so far at least seven such cases have been reported.

Meanwhile, health department officials, when contacted, refused to divulge the number of dengue cases reported across the state.
