Demand for exemplary action against Tohra

If the Jathedar is convinced of the violation, Amarinder stressed, he should punish Tohra in such a way that nobody in future dares repeat the violation and tell lies in public. He said Tohra’s sin was all the more serious since he headed the supreme Sikh religious body and his veryleadership of the community had become questionable in this light.

In yesterday’s representation to Akal Takht, the scion of the former princely state of Patiala has appended comments of seven prominent photo journalists of Delhi regarding the negative of the controversial photograph published in some newspapers last month regarding Tohra’s visit.

These photo journalists, in their individual opinions sent in writing to Amarinder Singh, have remarked that “the negative seems to be original”. While claiming that the photographs and their negatives were genuine, Amarinder Singh, however, admitted that computer technology was capable of manipulating the photographs.
