The Delhi High Court single judge tribunal lifted the ban on SIMI, saying that not enough evidence was found against it.

The Delhi High Court single judge tribunal lifted the ban on the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), saying that not enough evidence was found against it.

“The information given by the Home Ministry was not sufficient,” the tribunal ruled.

The SIMI was last banned on February 8, 2006 by the Govt of India.
