NEW DELHI, JAN 8: In a major policy change, the Government today allowed export of eight non-lethal and low-tech military equipment without a no-objection certificate (NOC).

This follows a Government Order yesterday which enlarged the list of non-lethal and low-tech military stores as part of its rationalisation efforts, a Director General of Foreign Trade Notification said. The list of military items that would now be permitted to be exported without a no-objection certificate are tents, uniforms, hand-tools, cooking utensils, stoves and lamp accessories, furniture and packaging material.
