CHANDIGARH, July 13: Jagdish Sagar, Adviser to the UT Administrator, has assured that the ward committees for the City will be formed soon.The Adviser, along with the Finance Secretary N.S. Kang, had gone to the Municipal Corporation today. The Mayor, Gian Chand Gupta, highlighted the various problems being faced by the Corporation.The Mayor pointed out that the municipal councillors should be made members of the various committees of the Administration for the governance of the City. He pointed out that the Corporation was still facing a resource crunch and that the Administration should extend help in this regard.The Mayor also pointed out that there was a need for a coordinated effort on the part of the Corporation, the Administration and the police to remove the encroachments in the City.The Adviser added that the various issues raised by the Mayor would be studied and decisions would be taken soon.
