PUNE, May 24: Openers Abhishek Kali (34) and Amrish Hiralikar (23 n.o) aided with 65 sundries paved the way for Youngsters to register an effortless nine-wicket win over Deccan Gymkhana inthe Ganla Trophy (under-19) limited overs cricket tourney at the S P College ground here today.

Deccan taking the crease first, were shot out for a modest 115 with Ryan Scott (17) and S Rajpal (18 n.o) being the only ones to reach double figures. The other major contributor to the innings total was the extras which their opponents conceeded which read 58.

The wreckers of the innings were Shashak Munde 3/8 and Nikhil Samudra 3/19.The Youngsters reply was much easier than Deccan, losing just one wicket enroute the total — that of Abhishek.

Ganla Trophy
At SP College: Wadians: 115; 25 overs (Ryan Scott 17, Sanil Rajput 18 n.o, Shashank Munde 3/8, Nikhil Samudra 3/19, Devendra Gogate 2/9, Abhisheik Kale 2/11) lost to Youngsters: 122 for 1; 24.5 overs (Abhisheikh Kale 34, Amrish Hiralikar 23 n.o). Result: Youngsters won by 9-wkts.

At Anglo Urdu: PFC: 153 (Alok Shinde 27 n.o, Sashank Londhe 21, Jeetu Mane 11, Lokesh Mane 2/17, Lokesh Jain 3/28) beat Bhagat XI: 142 (Rakesh Oswal 16, Mandar Dhole 18, Raviraj Bhosale 5/18, Abhijeet Lale 3/14). Result: PFC won by 9-runs.

At J N Petit: Deccan Gymkhana: 115 for 6 (Kiran Adhav 47 n.o, Aditya Purohit 27, Pravin Fadtare 2/19) beat SPCC: 72 (Pravin Fadtare 24, Shashank Khedakar 14). Result: Deccan Gymkhana won by 43-runs.

Mathurawala Trophy
At SP College: Ketan XI: 104 (Mayur 15, Shantanu 2/3, Sagar 2/27) lost to S P Cricket Club: 106 for 1 (Shantanu 20, Ajay D, Pranay 1/20). Result: SPCC won by 9-wkts.

At PYC Hindu Gymkhana: MGSA: 111 (Ameya Joshi 28, Sneha Chavan 3/16, Manasi Tamhankar 2/13, Rashmi Sohoni 2/21, Reshma Marathe 1/19, Soniya Dabir 1/20, Snehal Belsare 1/22) lost to Ladies XI: 112 for 7 (Snehal Belsare 31, Reshma 10, Ameya Joshi 2/16, Dhawal Bidkar 1/17, Prem Deshpande 1/11, Rohan Patil 1/25, Pawan Kulkarni 1/31).

At J N Petit: Deccan Gymkhana: 88 for 5 (Avanish Gadgil 23, Gautam Barve 24 n.o, Ghosamik Mahajan 3/14) beat MGSA: 79 for 2 (Ameya Joshi 21, Rohan Chandorkar 11, Ashish Patwardhan 1/18, Shaunak Kiwalkar 1/11). Result: Deccan won by 10-wkts.
