Breaking his silence after his expulsion from Hizbul Mujahideen, former operation chief of the outfit Abdul Majid Dar today said he will neither shun militancy nor float a new political organisation.

Calling Salahuddin’s decision as unjust, Dar said he and his expelled colleagues were still part and parcel of the Hizbul who enjoyed massive support among the ranks inside Kashmir as well as across the border.

‘‘It is a tragedy of Kashmir politics that there is no scope for any disagreement on policy issue even within the organisation,’’ he said.

‘‘We are still a part of Hizbul Mujahideen and won’t shun armed struggle. We have no plans to float a new political party,” he said.

PTI adds: Assad Yazdani told a news channel today that the expelled group was in touch with the organisation for a possible reconciliation.
