Patiala: Malkiat Singh, former principal of the Government Dental College here, has been appointed Dean College Development in Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. He has already assumed charge of his new assignment.

Contests to mark Children’s Day
Patiala: On the occasion of Children’s Day, Lions Club, Patiala Fort and Shri Dasondhi Ram Birji Foundation, Patiala, will organise “Inter-school antakshri competitions” at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Old Police Lines, Patiala. Mohan Lal Gupta, leading advocate and social worker will be the chief guest and Vijay Kumar Goyal will preside over the function.

PNB organises blood donation camp
Patiala: A blood donation camp was organised by the Punjab National Bank, Model Town branch, today. The camp was supervised by a team of doctors from the local Rajindera Hospital. The camp was inaugurated by S.U. Shenoy, senior regional manager, Chandigarh PNB branch. Thirty staff members donated blood.

Legal Services Day observed
Roopnagar: A special district-level programme was organised by the Punjab State Legal Services Authority to celebrate Legal Services Day here on Wednesday. As many as eight cases were decided on-the-spot and compensation amounting to Rs 3,920 was awarded to the affected parties at a district-level Lok Adalat held on the occasion.
