Bangalore, Sept 12: National coach Michael Ferreira on Saturday clarified that the cue game would not be dropped from the Asian Games scheduled to be held at Bangkok in December due to paucity of entries.
In a press release here, Ferreira said in response to a report over the fate of these events in the Asiad he said when he and Billiards and Snooker Federation of India officials contacted cue sports advisor to the Thai Olymic Committee Sindhu Pulsirivong, he said there was no need to worry..He had also stated that Pakistan’s Ali Asghar Valika, president of the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports was confident that the required number of participating countries would be more than made up in the four cue sports – billiards, snooker, pool and carambole.
